Privacy Policy

This privacy policy explains which personal data we process when you visit our online shop druff.shop and place orders, why we do so, and what rights you have.

Managing Director: Michel Seelau
Email: info@selwie.com

For questions about data protection and to exercise your rights, please contact us at the email address above.

2. Applicable law

We process personal data in accordance with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP). Where the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies because we offer goods to persons in the EU, we also comply with it. The legal bases mentioned in this policy refer to the GDPR.

3. Visiting our online shop and hosting

Our online shop runs on the Shopify platform. The provider for customers in Europe is Shopify International Limited, Victoria Buildings, 1-2 Haddington Road, Dublin 4, Ireland. When you access our pages, Shopify processes technically necessary data such as IP address, date and time, pages visited, browser and operating system in order to provide the shop, ensure security and prevent misuse (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Data may also be transferred to Shopify Inc. in Canada and to service providers in the USA (see section 16). More information: shopify.com/legal/privacy.

4. Cookies and consent

We use cookies and similar technologies. We set technically necessary cookies (e.g. for the cart, checkout, language setting and security) on the basis of our legitimate interest or because they are required for the contract. We only set cookies for statistics, marketing and personalisation if you have consented via our cookie banner (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw or change your consent at any time via the cookie settings in the footer of the website.

5. Orders and customer account

For your order we process the data you provide at checkout, e.g. name, delivery and billing address, email address, telephone number if applicable, ordered items and payment method. We need this data to conclude and perform the contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). If you create a customer account, we store your details and orders there until you delete the account.

6. Payment

Payments are processed by external payment service providers, to whom we pass on the data required for payment (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Depending on the payment method chosen, these are Shopify Payments (processed by Stripe Payments Europe Ltd., Dublin, Ireland), Shop Pay, Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal (Europe) S.à r.l. et Cie, S.C.A., Luxembourg, or Klarna Bank AB (publ), Stockholm, Sweden. The privacy notices of these providers also apply to their processing. For payment by invoice or in instalments, the respective provider may carry out an identity and credit check.

7. Shipping and delivery

For delivery, we pass on your name and delivery address to the commissioned carrier (usually DHL) (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). We only pass on your email address or telephone number so that the carrier can notify you of delivery or arrange a delivery date; for parcel shipments only if you have agreed to this.

8. Contact

If you contact us by email or via a contact form, we process your details in order to answer your enquiry (Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR). To protect against spam, forms may be protected by Google reCAPTCHA, which is integrated by Shopify.

9. Newsletter

If you subscribe to our newsletter, we use your email address to send you regular information about our products and offers (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). Registration requires confirmation by email (double opt-in). For sending we use Klaviyo (Klaviyo, Inc., Boston, USA) or Shopify's email function; open and click rates are also evaluated. You can unsubscribe at any time using the unsubscribe link in every email.

10. Subscriptions

If you order a product as a subscription, we also process your order and payment data for the recurring deliveries. To manage subscriptions we use a subscription app (Seal Subscriptions or Super Simple Subscriptions) integrated into Shopify (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).

11. Customer reviews

For product reviews we use Judge.me (Judge.me Ltd.). After an order, we may ask you by email for a review. If you submit a review, it will be published on our website together with your name or chosen initials and any photos (Art. 6(1)(a) or (f) GDPR).

12. Videos

On some pages we embed videos from YouTube (Google Ireland Limited), for example for our live shows and explanatory videos, as well as videos via the Vizup app. When a video is played, data such as your IP address may be transmitted to the respective provider, including to the USA. We only embed this content if you have consented or actively start the video (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).

13. Chat assistant "Anna"

Our chat assistant "Anna" answers frequently asked questions directly in your browser using predefined answers. Your entries are not transmitted to us or to third parties and are not stored.

14. Analytics and advertising

If you have consented, we use Google services (Google Tag, Google Analytics and Google Ads) of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, to statistically evaluate the use of our shop and measure the effectiveness of advertising (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). Usage data is processed in pseudonymised form and may be transferred to Google LLC in the USA. In addition, Shopify collects usage data for us as part of its shop statistics. You can withdraw your consent at any time via the cookie settings.

15. Social media and links

Our pages contain links to our profiles on social networks. These are simple links; data is only transmitted when you click a link and visit the respective network's page. The privacy policy of the respective provider applies there.

16. Transfers abroad

Some of the service providers mentioned are based outside Switzerland and the EU, in particular in the USA and Canada. Data is only transferred if the recipient country offers an adequate level of data protection (e.g. Canada, or US companies certified under the EU-U.S. or Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework) or if appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses have been agreed.

17. Retention period

We only store personal data for as long as necessary for the respective purpose. Due to statutory retention obligations, we generally keep order and invoice data for 10 years (Art. 958f Swiss Code of Obligations). Data processed on the basis of your consent is deleted when you withdraw your consent, unless a retention obligation applies.

18. Your rights

Within the scope of applicable law, you have the right to access the data we store about you, to rectification, erasure and restriction of processing, to receive or transfer your data, and to object to processing based on legitimate interests. You can withdraw any consent given at any time with effect for the future. Simply contact us by email.

You can also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority: in Switzerland with the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC, www.edoeb.admin.ch), in the EU with the supervisory authority of your country of residence.

19. Data security

Our shop is transmitted in encrypted form via HTTPS. We and our service providers take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against loss and unauthorised access.

20. Changes

We update this privacy policy when our data processing or the legal situation changes. The version published here applies.
